The opportunity.

We’re looking for a strategist for one of America’s most iconic brands. Working hand-in-hand with a large and unified team, you will be responsible for leading and developing business-driving, category-shattering ideas that will help Land ‘O Lakes become more relevant and adored. This will take up the bulk of your time, but variety is the spice of life, right? So you’ll also have the chance to work on smaller challenger-brands like Kozy Shack and Purina to develop counter-category thinking. And you’ll get involved in everything from packaging design to communications planning.

What we need.

Joy. You’re excited and you make great work priority number one.

A voice. As part of a team of strong leaders with equally strong opinions, confidence in your own beliefs and POV is a must.

Ambition. You’re a self-starter who can drive “quick wins” through problem-solving and collaboration.

About that…You’re joining forces with a large, very ambitious, multi-disciplinary team. Go-it-alone-rs need not apply.

Influence. You earn trust quickly and build bonds with everyone.  Clients worship you, creatives love working with you.  Speaking of which…

Creative acumen. We believe in an integrated process where “from-brief” is more important than “on-brief.” In the end, strategy and creative should be virtually inseparable.

A coach. You grow young talent and build strong, cohesive teams.

Optimism. You don’t get dissuaded easily and believe in the best possibilities and outcomes.

A zebra. You’re comfortable moving from brand strategy to activation strategy and back with your multifaceted strategy team (brand, digital, social and media strategists). Understanding the activation-centric world of communications today is paramount.

The credentials.

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience building big brands, especially food and CPG ones.
  • Proven ability to build long, enduring relationships with clients and creatives.
  • Strong presence and gravitas.
  • Impressive writing and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in using traditional and non-traditional tools to get to insights.
  • Proven track record of recognized, culture-busting work.
