Position Summary

The Programmatic Tactician is responsible for programmatic campaign management functions, such as: campaign set up within the platform, documentation creation and maintenance, QA, performance monitoring and reporting, and billing reconciliation.  He/she is also responsible for identifying and implementing optimizations as directed and approved by the Programmatic Manager (direct supervisor) and the Engagement Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Programmatic Manager to execute, manage and optimize programmatic media campaigns across all agency clients
  • Assist in target creation based on direction from the Programmatic Manager
  • Set up all campaigns in the platform
  • Upload creative
  • Execute bid strategies as outlined by the Programmatic Manager
  • Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail and adherence to agency best practices.
  • Communicate regularly campaign performance with the Programmatic Manager and Paid Media Planners/Buyers
    • Daily reporting updates for the Programmatic Manager
    • Weekly reporting updates of top performers and optimizations to the Paid Media Planners/Buyers
  • Assist in the development of monthly (or specific client reporting schedules) performance and reporting documents for clients
  • Maintain and organize campaign-specific materials
  • Manage daily campaign maintenance, including questions regarding tracking and status of programmatic efforts
  • Contribute to the development of proposals for new client opportunities
  • Work with Ad Ops to run the campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing and performance
  • Monthly invoice reconciliation
  • Manage and track monthly programmatic budget by client

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Relevant professional experience (marketing, analytics, media planning/buying)
    • Pluses:
      • Bid management or digital operations
      • Basic experience with DCM or a campaign management system
    • Understanding of traditional and digital media planning elements preferred
    • Strong analytical thinking and mathematics skills
    • Highly comfortable with data processing and interpretation
    • Ability to organize and manage detail work
    • Excellent communication and writing skills
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
    • Self-motivated and able to take initiative
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Team player
