The Martin Agency Hires Julie Levin as Chief Growth Officer
RICHMOND, VA. July 15, 2013 – The Martin Agency announced today that they have hired Julie Levin, age 41, as the agency’s Chief Growth Officer, effective August 5. Levin most recently served as head of Business Development for Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York.
In her new role as Chief Growth Officer, Levin will manage The Martin Agency’s business development efforts and partner with the company’s executive committee to refine and implement the agency’s marketing strategy.
“Julie Levin is the perfect fit for this job and this agency,” said Matt Williams, CEO of The Martin Agency. “We interviewed a variety of smart, impressive candidates for this position but Julie really stood out as having the right combination of intuition, intellect and energy. She has also worked at some world-class agencies on an impressive roster of brands. We can’t wait for her to get started.”
Levin’s resume also includes tenure at McGarryBowen, BBDO, Laird + Partners, Deutsch and Grey, all in New York. Her move to The Martin Agency in early August is a return to Virginia as she’s a graduate of the University of Richmond. The top business development role at Martin was formerly held by Dan Sutton, who left the agency in the fall of 2012 to work for Google.
“As a longtime fan of The Martin Agency culture and work, I couldn't be more thrilled to join the team,” Levin said. “I feel like I won the job lottery — the opportunity to showcase an agency that truly has it all: talented people, award-winning creative and real passion for what they do."
