The Martin Agency Promotes Lorri Riddle to Controller

RICHMOND, VA. June 26, 2013 – The Martin Agency announced today that Lorri Riddle, age 30, has been promoted to controller. Riddle, a seven-year Martin Agency employee, will assume this role on July 1 from Janet White, a 22-year agency veteran who was recently promoted to chief financial officer.

In her new role as the agency’s controller, Riddle will oversee the accounting department’s financial operations, reporting directly to White.

“Lorri has a rare combination of skills that make her particularly well-suited for this position,” said CFO Janet White. “Educated in both marketing and accounting, Lorri is also particularly adept at communicating with a broad range of people inside our company and at our parent company.”

A former Ernst & Young auditor, Lorri has also participated in the IPG Audit exchange program in both Brazil and London.

“Lorri has the experience and the broad perspective we need in the controller position moving forward and we are pleased to have her on our team,” said White.

Riddle began her ten-year career in finance as an assurance associate for public accounting firm Ernst & Young. She joined The Martin Agency in 2006 as a staff accountant. She quickly rose through the ranks as an accounting supervisor, assistant controller and most recently in 2010, VP/financial account director. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and is a Certified Public Accountant.
